SAAYA was founded by Shruti Sheladia, our Founder & Creative Director. Trained in Bharatanatyam, Shruti continued her classical study long after her arangetram, and danced all through college alongside an extraordinary community of dancers and creators who shaped her artistry.
For Shruti, a performance is never only about the steps. She shapes the full experience — technique, costuming, and stage presence — so that classical Indian dance, Bollywood, and semi‑classical styles come together into something complete and intentional. The dancers she works with share this vision, and together they are SAAYA.
Based in Austin and performing worldwide, SAAYA has performed at weddings, cultural events, corporate events, and universities for clients across Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, New Jersey, California, and beyond — building confident dancers and real cultural connection along the way.
